Place the thermostat from 78 and 80 degrees while in the house in the the summer time. Increase the temperature 7 degrees higher whenever you leave the home for a number of hours. Raise the temperature 4 degrees higher when you go to bed. It would be a good idea to use a programmable thermostat to ensure you don't have to manually change it throughout the day.
